Madeleine is a yogi, teacher and eternal student specialising in Jivamukti yoga. Jivamukti yoga offers a vigorous vinyasa sequence, with yoga philosophy, chanting and meditation. She is also qualified to teach hot yoga, Hatha, and Ashtanga.
Madeleine first came to yoga in 2007, and it has since been a lifelong passion. She teaches with authenticity and a desire to share the many spiritual and physical benefits that a regular yoga practice will bring.
Madeleine worked in the fashion industry for more than ten years, before choosing a path in Yoga, a lifelong passion of mine. Her goal is that each student should have an experience of every asana she teaches, based on the principals of alignment and not only to achieve the full pose. She seeks to create empowered, confident students who are excited to learn.
Her sense of humour, passion and empathy for students is crucial to her teaching style. She aims to continuously learning from my teachers, her asana practice and sadhana.
By applying the five elements of vinyasa krama, breath, intention, gaze, bandha and movement, your yoga practice will transcend from a physical exercise into conscious spiritual practice. In keeping with the Jivamukti method, she teaches in both Sanskrit and English with an emphasis on hands-on assists. Her classes are challenging but fun.
Madeleine teaches from my personal experience, with creativity and above all, passion. She bows at the lotus feet of my teachers.
